2021-07-17 00:00

From June, Covid-19 cases are surging rampantly each day due to swift spread of the highly infectious Delta variant in the UK. In Scotland alone, more than 2000 new cases are recorded daily for nearly one month. Some passengers traveling to China from the UK were confirmed positive and were isolated at their transit airports, several cases among them were so severe that they had to be admitted to ICU for emergent treatment which seriously damaged their health and caused large amount of payment as well.

Under such a tense situation, the Chinese Consulate General in Edinburgh kindly requests all the passengers planning to travel to China, regardless you have been vaccinated or not, to take full responsibility for your health and observe the following codes of conduct:

1. Wear a mask properly whenever you go to public areas. Wash hands frequently and take disinfection measures as much as possible. Avoid going to public areas with crowded people.

2. After finishing PCR and IgM Antibody tests, stay at home before going to the airport. While waiting and transit at the airport, even during the whole flight, you are strongly recommended to fully protect yourself from any possible risks of contracting the virus.

We wish you a healthy, safe and pleasant journey to China.
