On 22nd May 2023, Consul General Zhang Biao visited the University of Strathclyde and met with Sir Jim McDonald, the Principal of the University.

Sir McDonald warmly welcomed Consul General Zhang and stressed that the university attaches great importance to deepening academic exchanges and pragmatic cooperation with China and remains committed to fostering closer ties. The university will continue to do its best to provide a safe and convenient environment for Chinese students.

Consul General Zhang noted that Strathclyde University has had frequent and fruitful exchanges with Chinese universities in recent years. China encourages the University to explore further pragmatic cooperation, especially in technology transfer with its Chinese partners.
