Consul General Ma Qiang Joins SCC Virtual Trade Mission to Inner Mongolia

On 24th November, at the invitation of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce (SCC), Chinese Consul General Ma Qiang took part in the virtual trade mission to Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China, alongside the Scottish Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation, Ivan McKee and over 20 representatives from the business community.

Consul General identified three major opportunities facing economic cooperation and trade between China and Scotland brought by China’s dedication to global cooperation and multilateralism, China’s strong economic recovery amid Covid-19 and the sound Sino-Scottish relationship. He encouraged businesses in Inner Mongolia and Scotland to build on existing strong ties to network and explore new fruitful cooperation.

Minister McKee spoke highly of the trade and business links between Scotland and China. He reiterated the official commitment to prioritize Chinese market and looked forward to an early all-round resumption of exchanges and cooperation.
